David James Arbour of Lansing went to be with the Lord April 1, 2018. David was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by the many lives he touched. He was born March 7, 1959 in Lansing, Michigan to Frederick J. and Carol J. (Poor) Arbour. David graduated from Grand Ledge High School Class of 1978 and went on to receive an Associates Degree from Lansing Community College. He was also a veteran and served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. David was employed by Meijer until about 10 years ago when his health declined due to Parkinson’s Disease and he was no longer able to work.
He is survived by his wife of over 27 years, Marlene M. (Zischke); children, Bradley (Amanda) Zischke, Bryan (Taryn) Zischke, Gregory and Megan Arbour; grandchildren, Adaline, Isabelle, Eleanor, Lynden, Arlington, Bryan Jr. and Emma; mother, Carol; siblings, Pam (John) Begoske, Rick Arbour, Mike Arbour, Debbie (Dennis) McCrumb, Doug (Maureen) Arbour, Steve (Leann) Arbour and Kathy (Jim) Arnouts along with many nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his father, Frederick.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 8, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at the Grand Ledge Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Nick Highland, officiating. Douglas Charles Babbitt
December 6, 1959 -- February 1, 2019 (Aged 59)
Douglas Charles Babbitt, of Grand Ledge, MI, born December 6, 1959 in Lansing, MI, passed away February 1, 2019 at the age of 59. Doug was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School, Class of 1978; was actively involved in circle track racing across Michigan, racing Mini Champs and IMCA Modifieds also, serving on the pit crew for his brother. Doug was involved in the family business of asphalt and parking lot maintenance and loved being outside. Fishing brought him much joy, but nothing was more important to him than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, which he adored.
He is survived by his son Jason Babbitt, daughter Lindsey (Jerrod) Simpson; three grandsons: Justyce, Jude and Austin. His mother Joann Babbitt, sister Terri Hovey-Randell, sister-in-law Kelley Babbitt, nephew Justin Babbitt, and his best friend Glenn (Sherry) Freeman. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Babbitt, brother Marty Babbitt and granddaughter Andreah Mitchell.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Bretton Woods Covenant Church, 925 Bretton Road, Lansing, MI 48917, with visitation from 1- 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made for the college education of his Grandson's, checks made payable to Lindsey Simpson, any mailed contributions can be sent to 11928 Upton Rd. Craig Allen Brownell of Bath, MI, passed away December 19, 2022 at the age of 62. Craig was born in Mason, MI on April 5, 1960, son of the late Charles Brownell. He was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School, class of 1978, and worked for General Motors as a Blacksmith for 30 years. Craig was a volunteer Fire Fighter for Bath Township. He enjoyed motorcycling, sailing, hunting, and camping.
He is preceded in death by his father Charles Brownell.

Tamara Jo Burton Kelley

Tamara Jo Kelley of Portland passed away October 14, 2023 in Lansing. Tamara was born October 1, 1960 in Hastings to the late Denzil and Mary Jean (Combs) Burton. She attended Grand Ledge High School and attended school to receive a Veterinary Technician Certification. Tamara owned and operated her own pet grooming business many years ago and also worked as a Vet. Tech for Cedar Street Animal Hospital. She also worked for Ingham County Animal Control for a brief time. Tamara was obviously an animal lover and especially looked forward to spending time with her dogs and horses. She also enjoyed crafting, reading and gardening. She will be missed by her family, friends, and the many lives that she touched.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Tim; children, Lucas Kelley and Amber (Brandon) King; grandchildren, Caydon, Madison, Isaac, Piper, Sara, Rylee and Raegan; brother, Ricky, Dennis Ray and Todd Burton. Tamara was preceded in death by her siblings, Becky Reed, Larry and Troy Burton.

Cynthia Louise Cannell of Baldwin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 26, 2015. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on November 20, 1959 to George and Urania Cannell. She grew up in the Lansing area and graduated from Grand Ledge High School.
Cynthia is survived by her father George Cannell and her stepmother Marjorie Vititoe-Cannell of Baldwin, one brother Jeff (LuAnn) Cannell of St. Johns, Michigan, 4 aunt and uncles, 21 cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Urania Cannell in 2000.
Funeral service for Cynthia will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 @ 1:00PM at Verdun Funeral Home where family will greet visitors from 11:00AM-1:00PM. Burial will take place Monday, August 3, 2015 at 1:00PM at Delta Center Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.

Harry Walter Fratzke
May 13, 1960 -- October 27, 2020 (Aged 60)
Harry Walter Fratzke, age 60, died October 27, 2020 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Funeral services will be held at Tiffany Funeral home in Lansing with Rev. Paul J. Lindloff officiating. Visitation begins at 10 AM with funeral following at 1AM. The son of Sigismund and Hildegard (Freundt) Fratzke, Mr. Fratzke was born in Lansing and attended school in Grand Ledge before obtaining his bachelors degree from Ferris State University. He was a computer programmer for the Michigan Lottery. Mr. Fratzke was a traveler who enjoyed his frequent trips to Germany to visit family, as well as those throughout the United States. He was an avid gamer who enjoyed the company of friends while also spending time golfing, bowling and playing fantasy football with his family. He is survived by his parents Sigismund and Hilda Fratzke, along with his aunts and uncles, and many cousins. He will be missed.

Debra Sue Gilbert age 54 died unexpectedly on May 8, 2014 in Eagle. Born to Kenneth (Bud) and Jean Gilbert of Grand Ledge.
Surviving is her loving son, Adam Stanley and daughter-in-law Alaina (Humble) and soon to be grandson, Jack.
She was a 1978 graduate of Grand Ledge High School and a 2012 graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She was an up and coming artist with so much talent. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Gilbert.
Also surviving is her father Kenneth, sisters, Barbara (Ed) Gillis of Grand Ledge and Nancy (Dick) Cross of Mears; brothers, Steve and James (Doreene) Gilbert of Grand Ledge and special love Bob Harshey of Delta Twp.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 16, 2014, 2pm at the Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge with The Reverend Julie R. Cribley ,officiating. DeAnna Lee Sheren, 58, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on August 21, 2018. She was born June 27, 1960 in Lansing, MI, daughter to Stephen F. and Patricia Gail (Jenerou) Graszler. DeAnna was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School, Class of 1978; a former employee of Kmart, and a nurse’s aide for in home care. She enjoyed nature, flowers, camping, animals, her cats, and above all spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Richard “Rick”, children: Stephen (Lauren) Sheren, Stacey (Cory) Rice, and Shelbey (Walt) Whitaker; two grandchildren, Elaina and Nora Sheren, and one grandchild (Rice) on the way; sisters Stephanie G. Beals (Graszler), Bethany (Jack) Pahl, brother Stephen John (Carolyn) Graszler; many aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Stephen Graszler in November 2016.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 48, 731 N. Clinton St, Grand Ledge.

Lynne Marie Grosshans Deyarmond, Sunfield, age 37, passed away March 9, 1998, A lifetime area resident; Grand Ledge High School graduate; GM employee; and active member of Silver Spurs 4H Club of Eaton County, she enjoyed many outdoor activities. Survived by husband John; sons, John Adam and Christopher Norman; daughter, Pamela Marie; father Ronal Grosshans of Grand Ledge; brothers, Stephen (Anne) Grosshans of Sunfield and Gregory (Michon) Grosshans of Mulliken; sister Leslie Ann Grosshans of Grand Ledge; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by mother, Ruth Grosshans in 1994.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 13, 1998, 11 a.m. at Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Interment in Sunfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.

February 16, 1959 - August 12, 2017 (Aged 58)
Christine L. Haeck of Delta Township passed away August 12, 2017. Christine was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed. Christine was born February 16, 1959 in Lansing, Michigan to Henry M. and Palmyre C. (Mortier) Haeck. She graduated from Grand Ledge High School Class of 1978. Christine was such a joyful and friendly person, who easily connected with people and made new friends wherever she went. One of her favorite songs was, “You Are My Sunshine”, which rightly earned her the nickname of “sunshine”. She loved children and had the special ability to connect with the elderly. She was always looking for ways to be helpful and was a true blessing to those around her. Christine also loved and enjoyed all animals.
She is survived by her mother, Palmyre C.; siblings, Marianne J. (Jerold “Buzz”) Baird and Daniel R. (Diane) Haeck; nieces and nephews, Eric (Angela) Haeck, April Haeck, Natallie (Grant) Simpson, Eric J. (Beetna) Baird, Matthew S. (Gina Childs) Baird and Ryan A. (Nicole) Baird, along with numerous great nieces and nephews. Christine was preceded in death by her father, Henry, on January 8, 2010.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Grand Ledge by The Reverend Fr. James Eisele. Rite of Committal will follow at Delta Center Cemetery. November 18, 1959 — February 21, 2022 (Aged 62)
Douglas Richard Jones of Grand Ledge, passed away peacefully at home with his family on February 21st, 2022 at the young age of 62. Doug is survived by his 3 children, 2 siblings and parents.
Doug was a kind, generous, ever giving man with a calm presence and a smile that would light up a room. He prided himself on his many talents working with classic cars, his favorite being 1960’s Chevys. He worked to restore countless classic vehicles and had his work showcased at a national scale. His paintwork and custom interiors can be seen across Michigan as a staple of dedication to quality.
Doug also loved the West Michigan coast, spending time with his family at Silver Lake whenever he could. He used anything on wheels to race around the dunes, swim and boat on the lake, and eat a banana split at the end of the day.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew the wonderful man he was.
Doug is survived by his children: Devin Jones, Colby Jones, and Sachele Jones; siblings, Cindy (Roger) Gustafson, and Daniel Jones; parents, Richard and Ann Jones.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022 at Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge with a visitation one hour prior to the service; inurnment to directly follow at Union Cemetery. Timothy L. Kwilinski of Grand Ledge passed away April 21, 2019 in Lansing surrounded by his family. Tim was born July 29, 1960 in Lansing to Raymond and Lisa Kwilinski. He graduated from Grand Ledge High School Class of 1978 and went on to work for GM.
Tim was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and playing softball. Tim was a fan of rock and roll and attended many concerts when he was younger; including: Rush, Queen, AC/DC, Pink Floyd and more. Tim loved his family, parents and siblings very much.
He is survived by his loving wife of over thirty-three years, Robin; children, Samuel (Caroline) and Hanna Kwilinski; parents Ray and Lisa Kwilinski; brothers, Raymond Junior; Bill (Becky), Pete (Tami) and Greg (Marilee) Kwilinski.

Robert J. Morgan, age 60, of Lansing, MI, passed away September 9, 2020. He was born May 22, 1960 in Lansing, son to LeRoy and Carolyn (Felzke) Morgan. Robert was a former sales associate for Fulton Electronics; had a TV repair business, and enjoyed spending time with friends at Piazzano's restaurant. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time on his property near Cadillac.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Carolyn, step-mother Ilse, and best friend Dennis Adams. Survivors include his brothers, William (Vicky), Thomas (Stephanie), sister Christine (Mark) Howell, nephews Nick (Sabrina) Howell, Brad (Kristen) Morgan, nieces Liz, Carolyn, Kelly, Allison Morgan and step-brother Bryan (Christina) Benton, step-sisters Lisa (Lars) Benton-Peereboom, Heather (Eric) Baumstark.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, followed by a graveside service at Wacousta Cemetery. Douglas "Bud" Lee Parish Jr. Lake Odessa Our loving father, son and brother, born July 20, 1960, passed away March 15, 2010 at the age of 49. Doug "Bud" was a former employee of Lansing Electric Motors and current employee for American Electric Motor Corp. Bud was a member of the Eagles in Charlotte and enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He will be greatly missed by his son, David D. Parish (fiancée Marcy Skidmore) of Lake Odessa, his parents Doug L. and Doris Parish of Vicksburg, sister Patti J. (Craig) Van Walbeck of Portage, brother Steve J. (April) Parish of Grand Ledge and two nieces and nephew, Aimee, Matt and Amber.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 - 2:00 p.m. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home in Grand Ledge, with interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

James Parrish, Grand Ledge, age 54, passed away on March 12, 2013 at his home. He was born January 22, 1959 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, to Charles Sr. and Betty (Deloria) Parrish. In 1979, Jim established J. Parrish Painters and took pride in his business. Jim's greatest love and joy was his family. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cottage on Pretty Lake as well as the UP that he fondly referred to as "God's" country. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman. Survivors include his son Lucas Parrish, daughters Laura Parrish (Jacob Ambler) and Leanne Parrish; 2 grandchildren, Olivia and Maxwell; father Charles Parrish Sr. ; brothers, Ronald (Regina) Hall and Charles (Diane) Parrish Jr.; sisters, Virginia Wright and Angela Dzendzel; grandmother Esther Deloria; his children's mother and friend Patricia (John) Curtis and friend Sue Yelvington-O'niell (and children). His mother Betty Parrish and grandfather John Deloria predeceased him. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 - 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 210 W. Anthony Joe Spatrisano, born June 7, 1960 in Lansing, 62, of Mulliken, MI passed away on June 17, 2022 after a long battle with lung cancer, son of Rudolph and Martha (Beitler) Spatrisano. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, 1st Calvary P4.
He is survived by the love of his life Valerie Korroch; children: Cherona Huss, Michael Spatrisano, Collette Laming, Joshua Spatrisano, Jacob Spatrisano, and Auzzie Fuller; Valerie’s children: Branden (Christine) Korroch, Shealynn Korroch and Savanah Korroch ; 13 grandchildren; sister Martha (John) Mailand; nieces and nephews: Erin (Jeff) Chase, Jennifer (Jesse) Harlow, and David (April) Vrooman.

John Michael Summerfield
November 7, 1960 - June 21, 2010 (Aged 49)
Following a brief illness John passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2010 at the young age of 49.
John was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on November 7, 1960 to Robert Jacob Summerfield of Crystal and the late Emily Iva Kelly.
He grew up and graduated from Grand Ledge where he then resided and made his living for most of his life. John was a man of many trades but a Carpenter at heart. The warmth and friendliness of Johns smile is well known. Often said, man with a million friends and always there to lend a helping hand. John was a not a man of many material riches but he was a friend to anyone who needed one and never failed to help out when he could. He was an avid hunter, gardener and loved the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his Mother Emily Iva Kelly and Sister Connie Gearhart of Crestview Fl.
Survived by: Long time partner Wendy Sunstrum, Daughter Chelsea Boucha and grandson Alexander of Portland, Father Robert (Betty) Summerfield of Crystal, Sister Patricia (Terry) Hodges of Grand Ledge, Brother Robert (Shirley) Summerfield of Grand Ledge, Sister Ann (Joe) Cross of Sumner, Brother David (Kelly) Summerfield of Grand Ledge and brother-in-law Tim Gearhart of Crestview, FL and many Nieces and Nephews. Special people: Courtney Sunstrum and Betty Briggs both of Lansing for all their love and support.
Memorial service will be held at Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, Saturday June 26th at 11:00 am. Luncheon will immediately follow at the Grand Ledge Legion hall.
